How is the BEd Honours in Social Sciences Education structured?

  • One year full-time or two years part-time 

Seven Modules in Total

  • Three compulsory modules: Perspectives in Social Sciences Education; Understanding Research; and Independent Research Project (IRP) in Social Sciences Education 
  • Three of the following social sciences specific modules:
    Contemporary Issues in Life Orientation; Introduction to Travel & Tourism Education; Social Sciences Education through film and ICT; Teaching and Learning in Business Education; Critical Issues in Arts & Culture Education.  
  • One module that can be taken as an elective from any other BEd Honours specialisation.
